American-Australian pop rock and country/folk rock singer was born in California in 1960, she moved to Australia in the late 1970s.
Ana first started singing in Townsville in 1980, first as a soloist then with Michael Heytman as a Duo. She worked in various bands and groups. In 1986, Ana won Female Vocal, Gospel Solo, Bush Ballad Duo with Michael and the overall Grand Prize at the Charters Towers Country Music Festival. This resulted in a tour with Freddy Fender and Ayr’s Saddle Tramps in June 1986. In 1987, Michael and Ana once again won the Duo at Charters Towers, and Ana also took out first place in Female Vocal. Also in 1987 she sang in the Rogues Piano Bar at The Townsville International and also enjoyed taking part in various plays and musicals.
Her career really took off with the release of her debut album, “Deep in the Night”, in 1988. In early 1990, she signed to CBS. Through CBS, she released the album “Brave New World” in 1990. She did not issue another album until “Not All Monkeys are Right Handed” in 1994.
Ana moved to be with her family in the United States and left the music industry.
