Lynda Knuth was a late starter to the country music scene, entering her first contest only five years ago.
Her most successful year to date was 1986, obtaing placings at every festival, her major win being 1^st Place in the Amateur Section of the “Champion of Champions”
1987 looks like being even more successful with her placings to date being : Mackay 2^nd in Duo Section anong with Ann Slattery, Charters Towers: Semi Finalist in Amateur Section, Finalist in Open Composition, Rockhampton: 1^st Female Vocal, 3^rd Duo Section, Sarina: 1^st Duo Section, 1^st Female Vocal, 2^nd Gospel Vocal, and Grand Champion Overall Winner.
Lynda has travelled to Cardwell and the Tablelands to be a guest artist at Country Music Concerts. She has retained her Amateur status but would like to write more songs and do a lot more singing.
